Hair removal for men: electrolysis
I recently was having a consultation on laser tattoo removal and the whole process and I also asked the doctor about hair removal using the electrolysis method. I have a lot of hair and sometimes I get so frustrated using a razor to shave it. I wanted to get rid of this hair once and for all. My doctor gave me the following overview.
Men tend to be more hairy than women. This also means that like women, an increasing amount of men are also willing to get rid of unwanted hair. One of the easiest ways to get rid of unwanted hair is “electrolysis”. “Electrolysis” is the sole FDA approved hair removal technique, which gives the best results unlike any other method. This method involves the use of a special laser which quickly and painlessly penetrates into the skin and kills the root of the hair.
Any hair growth in the future will be quite difficult, but not impossible. The results of electrolysis last for a long period of time.
The entire hair removal process takes a mere 30 minutes per session and some people may need up to eight sessions. For men, the process works best if used on the chest, shoulders, stomach, or back. The results are more prominent with people with light skin and darker hair. However, electrolysis is not recommended for people who are blond or those with white hair.
The cost per session ranges between $400 and $500 and the outcomes of the process is nearly permanent, once the person has completed the required number of sessions. The demand for electrolysis amongst men for getting rid of unwanted hair has increased mainly due its permanent results and pain free treatment.
